Hi I’m Ellie Smith and I’m here to talk about my life of being a graphic designer ! I’ve always wanted to be a graphic designer and finally I got the job. You may be asking why out of all jobs I wanted to be a graphic designer? Ever since I was a kid I was obsessed with drawing and doodling I draw almost everyday after school or during school breaks that’s how I wanted to be a graphic designer.
How it started is I started doing research on how to start my career. I found tools like Canva, Photoshop and many more, but I started with Canva because I have used it before so I’m basically used to it. I started to turn simple drawings into real designs, it wasn’t about the looks, it was about telling the story using visuals.
My journey began with small projects like school events or designs for friends. Over time, I learned how to take feedback, meet deadlines, and improve as a designer.
I decided to find a part time job as a graphic designer to earn some money I was 18 that time. Now as a graphic designer taking on new tasks like logos, posters, or social media graphics. Every day is different, and every design is a new challenge.
For me, design isn’t just any job, it’s a passion!
